WAKEFIELD, Mass. – July 30, 2013 – Virtual, Inc. (, a technology-focused professional association management company, has recently added four employees to its Operations and Finance & Administration groups, deepening the firm’s strategic and operational capabilities. The firm has also announced two promotions.

The new employees are:

Michelle Ball initially joined the Virtual team as an intern in Accounting, and she has now taken a Junior Accountant position. Her responsibilities will include computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data for accounting records for Virtual and its clients.

Audrey Batista joins Virtual as Consultant, Business Operations with more than 20 years of experience in interactive marketing, operational business strategy and project management with companies such as Digitas, Hill Holliday and eDialog. She will work to realize Virtual’s vision of a corporate-wide Project Management Office.

Miriam Macedo first joined Virtual as an intern in 2012, and she has now moved into the position of Human Resources Assistant. She will provide assistance with recruitment, orientation, and training initiatives as well as office management and administrative assistance.

Tim Naughton has come on board as Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, after having provided financial services to his own client base for several years, in addition to providing professional training at Millennium Training Institute.  At Virtual, he will direct, plan and lead activities related to clients’ financial reporting, planning and analysis, including annual budgets and forecasting. He is also responsible for ensuring the overall integrity of data and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and legal and regulatory requirements.

Additionally, in recognition of their accomplishments and professional growth at Virtual, two members of the F&A group have received promotions:

Ann Geary is now Vice President, Human Resources, a newly created position; previously she served as Director, Human Resources. Her professional experience of more than 20 years includes non-profit and medium and large companies, such as AT&T, Insperity and Putnam Investments. At Virtual since 2010, she has provided HR leadership to internal staff and has directed HR initiatives for clients, including employee relations, recruitment, training, and career planning and development. In her new role, in addition to directing these activities, she will work to determine appropriate HR strategy, including succession planning and compensation structure, which will be increasingly important as Virtual continues to grow.

Christina Zagami has been named Director of Financial Reporting. In this role, she will provide leadership in all aspects of Virtual’s financial reporting for clients, developing and maintaining appropriate methodologies that ensure data integrity and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Zagami has been with Virtual for four years as a Senior Financial Analyst, following 18 years in the technology industry in various finance and supply chain positions.
