Andy Freed

As Virtual’s CEO, Andy oversees the company’s client teams, along with the organization’s overall service quality and management practices. He has more than 20 years of experience working with associations, non-profits and political organizations, and he has managed a wide range of entities, from small startups to multi-million-dollar organizations with members spread throughout the globe. With Virtual for the past 18 years, Andy previously served as Vice President and CIO of the Massachusetts Hospital Association and currently serves on the organization’s board, as well as the Board of Overseers of Wellforce Healthcare. He is a graduate of Harvard University, and he received his master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

 

Greg Kohn, Chief Growth Officer, Virtual, Inc.

Greg Kohn, Virtual, Inc. Gregs focus at Virtual is to drive growth for the company and for its client associations. To do so, he leverages his depth of experience in running association management operations and leading a myriad of technology-based associations in various stages of maturity. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, association management best practices, non-profit governance and technology application. Greg engages with many of Virtuals start-up clients to help guide them concept to launch. He also applies attention toward Virtuals technology consortia and standards-setting practice, where he draws upon his long-term involvement in guiding technology standardization and conformity assessment activities. He represents Virtual, Inc., in a number of standards-related industry groups, including ANSI and the Standards Engineering Society. He is also an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Greg joined Virtual, Inc. in 2011, following a 13-year stint at the IEEE, where he served in numerous leadership roles for the IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (IEEE-ISTO) and the IEEE Standards Association. He earned a bachelors degree from The College of New Jersey and a masters degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

 

Alysia Johnson, Senior Vice President, Client Services, Virtual, Inc.

Alysia Johnson, Virtual, Inc. Alysia has more than 15 years of experience in technology association management she provides exceptional strategic and operational leadership in an international business environment. Alysia typically guides the formation and launch of new technology organizations. She has a proven track record in leading professional association boards and teams to achieve outstanding results in the areas of growth and operations. Alysia holds a bachelors degree in journalism with a minor in communications from Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and has completed CAE certification coursework.
