A Company We Love

The Virtual Life : Article

Virtual, Inc. has been recognized in Boston Globe’s “Top Places to Work” twice and named three times to Inc. Magazine’s list of 5,000 fastest-growing private companies. But what makes Virtual so great? Here’s what several of our team members said when we asked, “Why Virtual is a special place.”

Julie Utano, Senior Director, Client Services, added that “Virtual was such a special place to work because everyone’s voice matters. Solutions to client challenges can come from anyone on the client team. It’s special because not all workplaces have a culture that provides everyone the opportunity to speak openly.”

PR Director, Jessie Hennion is proud to work at Virtual because she can work alongside talented technologists, creative thinkers, and strategic consultants. “It’s a place were having fun and being yourself are celebrated alongside trust, respect, innovation, and service excellence. In June of 2021, our regulatory team made their mark on the world being on the front line of processing emergency certifications for nurses in Massachusetts. This team has certified more than 10,000 nurses to work in Massachusetts. That’s an extraordinary number in an extraordinary time. I am proud to work for a company that is making its mark on the world.”

Alyssa McArdle, Events Manager, loves working for Virtual not only because of the people she works with but because Virtual “walks the walk” in terms of company culture. “Virtual is extremely welcoming, inclusive and works very hard to make sure all of the employees feel heard, seen and valued. Even the most senior leaders are accessible and warm. Virtual knows that its people are its greatest strength, and that philosophy permeates through the company.”

People and Culture Business Partner, Miriam Macedo said, “During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we’ve had to adapt to unprecedented times when the world shut down. We have truly embraced our name, Virtual. There are a lot of reasons why I appreciate a supportive and flexible work environment. I recently became a first time-mom during the pandemic. It was a “make it or break it” moment in my career. I truly wouldn’t have made it through daycare closures, continuous feeding schedules, sleepless nights and Zoom meetings if I didn’t have my Virtual family to lean on.”

Dawn Gannon, Senior Program Manager shared “it’s the camaraderie and focus on teamwork that makes a difference at Virtual. She loves that there are so many experts on so many different topics within the company and that people are willing to share their knowledge and assistance when needed.”

No day is the same at Virtual. Each day is exciting and different. Reimage what is possible with Virtual. If you or someone you know is interested in working with us and want to make their mark on the world, check out our current open positions!
