What I do at Virtual:
I help our company and our client organizations chart their course for deep impact and long-term success. My passion is solving problems as efficiently and simply as possible.
Years of experience:
13 years at Virtual, 25+ years at the confluence of standards and association management
Past employment:
- Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
- American Society of Civil Engineers
Education:

Favorite client story:
Every mobile phone on earth contains an implementation of at least one standard that I’ve been involved with at some point in my career. It’s really neat to think of the impact of my work at that scale.
Fun fact:
I got locked in Euro Disney for several hours with three Board members of a client organization
Hidden talent:
I was on the cover of Men's Health magazine. (But as a writer, not a model.)
What I do for fun:
Spending time with my four kids; my two dogs; and doing anything outdoors.
I can’t live without:
My Miro boards
Important life lesson:
Set goals and be persistent in working toward them. Don’t let setbacks – even if they seem significant — derail your pursuit of the future you want. Think positive and keep going.
Key to success:
Keep it simple
Community involvement:
- Numerous local charities
- Retired coach of various youth sports teams
Favorite movie, book, food, music/band/song:
