What I do at Virtual:
I lead an award-winning team that delivers outstanding results for our clients with innovative marketing and communications initiatives. Mixing strategy with a sprinkle of creativity, I help drive programs to achieve key objectives and client success. I conceptualize unique event strategies to increase attendance, engage members, and delight attendees. I oversee our corporate marketing efforts to enhance, amplify, and promote the Virtual brand.
Years of experience:
25+ years specializing in marketing communications, brand identity, event management, digital marketing, and press/media relations.
Past employment:
Nuance/Microsoft, AOL, Pegasystems, Third Screen Media, and Boston Communications Group
Education:
Bachelor of Business Administration and Marketing, Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics - University of New Hampshire, Durham NH
Favorite client story:
During a client dinner in Tokyo, our waiter accidentally spilled a tray of ice water on me. I was completely drenched from head to toe but managed to avoid any broken glass. After politely excusing myself from the table, I returned with my hair styled using a pencil and wearing a tablecloth as a makeshift shawl. It turned out to be quite the “ice-breaker” and conversation starter.
Hidden talent:
Selected to appear onstage and sing with Jimmy Buffett — in front of 20,000 of my closest friends.
What I do for fun:
I love to bake and travel with my family.
I can’t live without:
My iPhone and iced coffee.
Important life lesson:
Don’t put off for tomorrow what you can do today – you never know what tomorrow will bring.
Key to success:
Do what you love that way you love what you do.
Community Involvement:
I served as President, Board of Directors at the North Suburban Jewish Community Center (NSJCC) spearheading the strategic vision and plan to create a state-of-the-art and award-winning intergenerational learning center. I have held Board positions at the Jewish Journal, Temple Ner Tamid, Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation, and Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP). I serve on various fundraising and event committees including Rotary Clubs, Chamber of Commerce, Haven from Hunge/Citizens Inn, Progeria Foundation, Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF), and Habitat for Humanity. And in 2022, I helped staff a 12-day service trip to Israel with 83 local teens from 41 different Massachusetts high schools.
